Description of the event
Let’s face it, we come across plenty of events where people tell us how they hacked, hustled, and created their success, but very few where someone gets up and says “I totally messed up, and this is what I learned from it.”
On the 17th of November, join us at the Beer Cave for When S#!T Hits the Fan to listen and get inspired from three (3) speakers ready to share their failure stories with an audience of people. Each speaker will be given 15 minutes to share their stories which will then be followed by a Q&A session. After that you’re all encouraged to network over a beer or two and share your own experiences.
The event consisted in an evening where three speakers; Neil Caruana, Jarek Bialek and Nathan Farrugia shared failure stories from their experiences. The stories were business and sport stories highlighting the importance of failing in order to become more resilient to grow further.
Around 50 people attended the event with one person becoming a member of JCI.
Failure is considered as taboo in Malta for various reasons. This event broke the silence as three bold people shared their failure experiences. The feedback was very positive with participants suggesting meet-up ideas as such a 'Beer Ideas'. A bigger venue with adequate sound system should be used considering the turnout of this event.
