Additionally, he met with Panama Junior Chamber members at the El Jade Restaurant for a luncheon meeting and at the Panama Canal Museum for a plenary meeting. He swore in 11 new members. Alternate Congressman Miguel Angel Robinson, who continuously supports local Junior Chamber activities, was present at the plenary meeting. Media exposure President Batlle?s visit definitely helped improve Junior Chamber?s visibility in the media as he was interviewed by MEDCOM (Channel 13) and several radio stations during the TOYP launching ceremony. Several articles on his visit were published in various newspapers, such as Cr?tica Libre, El Panam? Am?rica, and El Universal. Additional benefits from President Battle?s visit Besides strengthening relations with the media, Panamanian members feel his visit reinforced cooperation ties between Panama Junior Chamber and Panama City Hall. These ties will be particularly important for the activities that are being organized to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Panama next year. Moreover, Panama City Junior Chamber videotaped President Batlle?s meetings with key Panamanian personalities, which underscores Junior Chamber relevance. Copies of this video are being provided to other Panamanian chapters for promotional purposes.
