French JCI Leaders Impress President Rector

JCI President Bruce Rector visited the Hauts-de-Seine chapter in the Paris area of France last Tuesday, February 11. Paris is President Rector's first stop on a 12-day tour of Europe. From France Junior Chamber (JCEF) leaders, President Rector learned about their various local and national projects, and was impressed by their creativity, excellence, and scope. In a meeting with JCEF local and national officers, JCEF President Valentino Gambuto explained the many different initiatives that are being implemented by JCEF Members in 2003. Under the theme ?L'Esprit Pionnier? (The Pioneer Spirit), JCI Members are striving to establish 23 new local organizations of JCI while focusing also on achieving a higher profile and name recognition throughout France. President Rector was particularly impressed with a project entitled CRE@. By helping organize meetings between business creators and ?business angels? (investors), CRE@ will benefit not only JCI Members but also the community. "JCEF is running creative projects with powerful purposes in a high-quality and impressive way," President Rector said.
