Purpose

The Objective is to ensure quality education and motivation against early school dropouts for the underprivileged kids. The number of early and primary School dropouts is very high in lower and lower middle class people of Bangladesh due to lack of motivation, poverty and child labor.

Overview

In this project, JCI Dhaka Cosmopolitan starts the year with providing the underprivileged kids with the stationary items for education purpose which shall ensure a happy start of the year for the students who cannot afford such stationery due to the financial constraint of their parents. In the process they will be given books and computer to build up a library so as to make sure that the students get further involved in studies. They will also be provided with science basic tool box inside which there will be tools and elements that will help them to conduct many primary level science experiments so that they find the beauty of learning through interactions and fun. These initiatives are aimed at motivating them to join school, most importantly continue their study and eventually the dropout ratio will decrease.

Results

The students have been intensely engaged at the studies at the first quarter of the project. With the recommendations being implemented in due course, the students shall find more interest in carrying out their studies as well as to continue their studies with an aim to defeat the drop-outs from school at an early age.

Recommendations

A library and computer along with science tool box needs to be provided throughout the year so as to ensure that the underprivileged kids get more interest in studies and the percentage of dropouts becomes nil.
