Recommendations

JCI Tanjung Aru partnered with Hunger Movement for the ‘Coastal Clean-up Day’ beach cleaning project which involved students from many Kota Kinabalu secondary schools such as SM Lok Yuk, SM Tshung Tsin, SM Kian Kok and University Malaysia Sabah. Mayor Datuk Yeo Boon Hai also was present during this event. He mentioned that it was encouraging to see involvement from various parties, including students, as environmental activism should be instilled in younger generations so that they continue to safeguard the environment. Many non-government organizations (NGO), such as JCI Tanjung Aru and Hungry movement, stepped forward to collaborate with Kota Kinabalu City Hall in organizing this meaningful program. It was also JCI Tanjung Aru’s second participation in this program since its beginning in 2015. 15 members from JCI Tanjung Aru took part in the beach cleaning on this meaningful day.
