Trainers Certification

Dear Head and Assistant Trainers of official JCI courses,

When JCI Achieve was launched, JCI decided that the best way to train trainers was by conducting the Train-the-Trainer courses. However, this system proved to be impractical due to the high number of new courses to be launched soon. Therefore, in 2006, JCI Training conducted a thorough evaluation on the Certification system and a new certification program was approved at the January 2007 JCI Executive Committee Meeting. From that time on, instead of Train-the-Trainer courses, we have Certified JCI Head Trainers training the Assistant Trainers.

In line with the new online standards and course organization and reporting system, all Head Trainers, including those who were appointed last year for the initial testing and launching of the new courses, must graduate from a JCI Head Trainer course.

JCI Head Trainers need to attend a JCI Head Trainer course to learn about all the required online tools; the JCI Training standards, procedures and rules they must abide by; and the new focus of the JCI Head Trainer on coaching, teaching and mentoring Assistant Trainers rather than on conducting training.

Online Courses and Registrations

Starting in 2007, all JCI courses must be placed online and all registrations must be received online so the information is logged in the trainers’ and participants’ database. All course participants must register online. When they graduate, course attendance will be added to the person’s database. Attendance to the course is needed to become JCI Assistant Trainer for that course. Those not registered online can’t be added manually to the database.

JCI Head Trainers must enforce these rules by not conducting any course that is not online and ensuring that the rules regarding image and corporate identity are strictly followed. The JCI Training expects all Head Trainers to follow these rules and see that they are also followed by Assistant Trainers.
