| Insights Invites JCI Leaders to Complete Leadership Survey |
|
|
In June 2006, JCI Executive Officers and World Headquarters Team members attended a session of Insights into Personal Effectiveness during the Midyear Executive Committee Meeting (MYE). Before the session, participants had the opportunity to learn about their individual leadership styles by completing a leadership profile form.
Joe Alves, an Insights facilitator, conducted the session. The objective was to help participants become more effective in the way they operate and communicate so they may increase their productivity, reduce costs, and improve services to members.
Insights Learning & Development is a leader in the field of people and organizational development. Working in partnership with some of the world's most successful companies, Insights offers a wide range of unique and innovative learning solutions to transform individuals, teams and organizations. JCI now enjoys a partnership with Insights.
Opportunity for JCI Leaders
JCI leaders now have the opportunity to take part in an Insights survey free of charge. The survey will help them gain knowledge of their strengths and weaknesses in 40 different facets of leadership. By taking part in the survey, they will also help Insights prepare for the Transformational Leadership Program and the Competency Model to be launched in Seoul this November.
Insights is testing the current version of the competency model with organizational leaders. The data collected will be reviewed only by the research team from the University of Westminster. Participants answers are strictly confidential and will be reported only as averaged group statistics. JCI will contact JCI leaders with information on how to take part in the survey.
The Transformational Leadership Program
This program, which will be offered during this years JCI World Congress in Seoul, Korea, is based on the premise that any organization develops thanks to changes occurring at the individual level, starting with the organizations leaders. The program will help leaders understand their own unique style and how it manifests itself in their relationships with others and in their day-to-day activities.
After enabling leaders to develop a clear knowledge of self and personal impact, the program will help them examine their effectiveness in several critical areas, using a range of diagnostic tools to develop valuable personal action plans.
