| JCI Members Work with Chambers of Commerce |
|
|
Numerous national and local JCI organizations enjoy excellent relations with their respective Chambers of Commerce. Their joint efforts benefit not only the members of the respective organizations, but also their communities. As a result of their collaboration, many excellent projects are launched or enhanced.
Increased interest in cooperation opportunities with the Chamber of Commerce has been reported this year. For example, in July, while visiting JCI Ecuador, JCI President Lars Hajslund, accompanied by JCI Ecuador members, visited the Chamber of Commerce of Quito.
“We discovered that there were many opportunities for cooperation,” said Hajslund. “Although there had not been much collaboration up to that point, I’m sure that after our meeting we will do a great deal of co-branding and co-sharing of ideas.”
Also in July, JCI Dublin President Mark Kelly and Dublin Chamber of Commerce President Eugene McCague signed a document of cooperation that will no doubt benefit both organizations.
"JCI Dublin and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce complement each other with JCI focusing on developing the individual and the Chamber of Commerce developing business,” said Kelly. “This agreement will help JCI Dublin grow and will give new opportunities to its members."
Some of the main points of the agreement between JCI Dublin and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce are:
-- JCI Dublin is a full member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce
-- The president of JCI Dublin will sit on the board of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce
-- A member of the staff of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce will sit on the board of JCI Dublin to assist in the growth of JCI Dublin
-- As full members of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, JCI Dublin members will have access to all training and events run by Dublin Chamber of Commerce.
-- JCI Dublin and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce will publicize each other in there publications
