JCI Lebanon Sends Letter to Members
JCI Lebanon, facing tragic events, would like to thank JCI members who are expressing their concern and who are helping. “In the midst of all these tragic events, our JCI mates from all over the world have flooded us with telephone calls, emails and letters of solidarity to show their support to JCI Lebanon,” they say.

“We are deeply moved by your considerate thinking, which is acting as a morale boost for us in these hard times,” they add. “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for making us feel part of a caring international family with lots and lots of compassionate brothers and sisters.” Many members have been asking how to help. Therefore, JCI Lebanon is providing news at http://www.jcilebanon.org and a link, http://www.cellcom.com.lb/lebanonaid.aspx, to enable members to make a donation to JCI Lebanon via credit card.

On behalf of JCI members, JCI President Lars Hajslund sent messages to JCI Israel and JCI Lebanon expressing concern for the safety and well-being of JCI members and their families in the affected areas.

He also expressed the hope that the current military confrontations will end soon and that JCI members in the area, through their own efforts and the efforts of their friends around the world, will build a future of enduring peace and prosperity.

JCI President Lars Hajslund is also asking members to help the victims through JCI Operation Hope and reminding them that, although we face difficult issues, and change will not come easily or quickly, the mission of our organization has become more clear and urgent than ever. We are being called to prepare more and better leaders, leaders with an international vision and with the skills needed to bring about peace, understanding and progress.
