The Ninth Catalonian Academy opened on Friday, July 7, at the Domo Hotel in Vilafranca. Its objective was to help participants develop managerial skills and enhance their leadership and teamwork abilities. JCI World President Lars Hajslund, from Denmark, took part in this event, which was organized by JCI Vilafranca del Penedès and promoted by JCI Catalonia.

At the Opening Ceremony, Academy participants had the opportunity to listen to JCI President Hajslund, who spoke about motivating young people. Josep María Canyelles, an expert on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), was another keynote speaker. The general public was invited to attend the opening ceremony and the lectures on Friday.

Training at a Castle

They took part in four seminars focusing on “Teamwork Management,” “Motivation and Leadership,” “Effective and Communicative Presentations,” and “Project Management.”

On Sunday morning, at the Foix natural park next to Castellet castle, attendees took part in various outside teamwork activities designed to develop team synergy, managerial and leadership skills, teamwork, and strategies to achieve proposed objectives within the limits of available resources.

The Ninth Academy ended on Sunday at 16:00 with the closing ceremony and the presentation of diplomas at the Domo Hotel in Vilafranca.
