JCI Metro Leaders benefited from outstanding training at the 2006 JCI Metro Networking Conference (JCI Met Net) in St. Louis, June 30-July 2. The programming was one of the best in the 16-year history of this conference, said JCI Treasurer Lori Tomlin, who as 2006 US Metro Director, chaired the event.
Outstanding speakers such as JCI President Lars Hajslund and the renowned consultant and author Dr. Jeffrey Magee contributed to the success of the JCI Met Net. Dr. Magee focused on performance training, developed around one of his latest books, The Managerial Leadership Bible, which offers strategic and tactical managerial leadership ideas, techniques, and models for human performance improvement.

New Ideas and Knowledge
JCI Met Net participants learned not only from speakers of the caliber of Dr. Magee and President Hajslund, but also from each other. The participants gained new ideas and knowledge from chapters that have succeeded in areas where they may have challenges in their own local organizations, said JCI Treasurer Tomlin. In the long term, they will also benefit from the connections made with members from around the world.
