| JCI Senator Marfred Pranada Killed in Manila |

It is with great sadness that JCI announces the death of JCI Senator Marfred Pranada of the Philippines.
Senator Pranada suffered fatal stab wounds on the evening of Monday, July 5, 2010. Police are currently investigating the murder.
Senator Marfred Pranada was a JCI International Training Fellow from the Philippines, who devoted much of his time to creating training courses to help young active citizens from throughout the Asia and the Pacific Area develop into JCI leaders. In 2004, Along with JCI Trainer Richard Denis Domingo Tan, Pranada opened the JCI Manila Training Institute.
Holding a BS in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines and an MBA from Australian National University, Senator Pranada worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and AccessCapital Thailand as an investment banker. Most recently, he served as a consultant, specializing in cross-border transactions, corporate finance, specialized technology, investment funds and corporate advisory projects.
