Come to New York City from July 25 to 27 to tackle the world’s greatest challenges alongside JCI’s key partners.

No single entity can answer the world’s greatest challenges alone. Facing an issue like global poverty can be daunting, but government, civil society and business each have a unique and crucial role to play. Only through collaboration will we realize a better world.

What is the role of young people in this new framework of partnership? It is our job to lead this collaboration and drive the change that will better our world for generations to come.

At the 2012 JCI Global Partnership Summit, young people unite with leaders of business, civil society and government to explore the greatest challenges of our time and craft sustainable solutions. In 2012, we are taking this discussion a step further to maximize the impact of the Summit for each participant, all our communities and the city of New York.

Community Impact: A Hands-On Guide

The Summit is famous for attracting thought-leaders and innovators across all sectors to share their perspectives on important issues. This year, JCI members will share their own stories of impact to show the world how we’re creating positive change.

Around the globe, JCI members are using the JCI Active Citizen Framework to engage international partners at the local level. Through interactive discussions, workshops and case studies at the Summit, JCI members, partners and participants will engage these concepts viewed through the unique JCI perspective as the leading global network of young active citizens.

Delegates at the Summit can look forward to sharing best practices in interactive forums, working collaboratively toward a Summit resolution with long-term impact and getting a glimpse of global poverty through a simulation. To put our words into action, delegates will also take part in a community project in the city of New York.

Other Summit sessions include an expert training focused on needs analysis in the community and a special presentation of the JCI Impact Training, an optional pre-Summit event on July 24.

New York, New York

A vibrant, bustling city with cultural diversity unseen in any other metropolis, New York City provides an appropriate backdrop for the JCI Global Partnership Summit’s discussions on collaboration and cooperation.

The largest metropolitan area in the United States, New York exerts a powerful influence over worldwide activity in commerce, finance, culture and entertainment. In and of itself, the city is a case study in international synergies and successful collaboration between industries and governments.

The Summit will take place in Midtown Manhattan in the center of the action. The Sentry Centers, the main Summit venue, is a short walk from Times Square, the United Nations, Broadway and numerous restaurants, entertainment clubs, bars and attractions.

The main hotel of the Summit is the Roosevelt, a beautiful, historic hotel located a short walk from the Sentry Centers and Fifth Avenue. Book your room today at the Roosevelt.
