Welcome a brand new year 2012 - a new beginning.  Over the past years JCI Mauritius has faced several challenges to which we fearlessly stood up to.  We strongly believe that the winning formula has been: ‘Friendship + Dedication + Passion = Success’.  Furthermore, action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change - this is the rhythm of living. JCI’s Slogan is ‘Be Better’, and without ‘Change’, we cannot be better.

In 2012, JCI Mauritius invites you to join ‘The Fellowship of Change’, our motto for the year under the icon of the phoenix, a mystic bird known to reborn anew to live again from its ashes.  In other words, we, JCI Members, are ready to re-invent ourselves for the success of our National Organisation.  With the Fellowship Attitude, we shall remain ‘Positive’ and get back to JCI Basics.

A consistent theme throughout the past couple of years has been the famous quote from the Mahatma: “Be the change you want to see in the world,” and I really believe that we are the change. It is OUR responsibility as JCI members to engage young people to take the future of their communities, their countries and the world into their own hands. JCI empowers young people with the tools, resources and opportunities to create change through targeted action.

JCI Mauritius wish to join our 2012 JCI President Bertolt Daems under his theme ‘Passion in Action’ in saying: ‘Together we will share best practices, talk about our passion and support those who have excelled in mobilizing members to create positive change.’

At the beginning of a new year, we all have resolutions.  For 2012, JCI Mauritius’s resolution would be focused on Strategic Planning, Recruitment, Branding, Training and Internationalism.
