JCI Illawarra and Westpac launch new partnership! |
JCI Illawarra officially launched its new Foundation Partnership with Westpac at its June Business Networking Event.
JCI Illawarra President Natalie Viselli described the partnership - the first for JCI Illawarra - as a major step forward for the organisation. “It will provide JCI Illawarra with the additional support and resources needed to provide the young people of Wollongong with even more opportunities to develop their leadership skills and provide even greater value to our members.”
Westpac has a proud reputation in the area of corporate social responsibility and shares many of the same values as JCI Illawarra. A key one of these, as identified by Westpac’s Wollongong Branch Manager Stephen O’Meara, is sustainability.
The partnership will be one of mutual benefit. JCI Illawarra will benefit not only through Westpac’s financial contribution but also through greater access to people with extensive business knowledge and a series of specially tailored Westpac financial products to JCI Illawarra members, such as reduced home loan interest rates.
Mr O’Meara stated at the launch that while Westpac would love to do business with JCI Illawarra’s members, they benefit Westpac was deriving from the partnership was much more than that. He had already been inspired by what he has seen JCI Illawarra members achieve, including the success of this year’s Tea By The Sea, and was learning a lot from this group of young people.
Both JCI Illawarra and Westpac are excited about this new partnership and to be working together over the next 12 months to further the development opportunities that JCI Illawarra offers the region’s young people.
